Product Details

Reproduction of an ancient Egyptian scribal palette in the Museo Egizio, Turin, Italy. It is made from cherry; the pen cavity was carved from the front and then covered with a cherry lid. A small cut was made in the back to allow access from the ramp to the storage cavity. The included pigments are: black (lamp black),  red (red ocher), yellow (yellow ocher), white (calcium carbonate),  brown ( red ocher/iron oxide), blue (a mix of modern pigments, blended to match my sample of Egyptian blue) and green (a mix of modern pigments).
Two empty inkwells allow the owner to customize the pigment selection.
